Great work as always! Love when you bring back older examples like BSB and how things don't exactly change. "Corpos gonna corpo."

That one Tumblr Ask Box was telling in the sense of the tone/familiarity the person was speaking with.

The anons always tell on themselves! And the corps-- still remember the George Michael documentary covering his lawsuit trying to get out of his contract--all the label execs were terrified bc it was a "standard deal"!

One of the things that stands out to me is the way in which Malik's comments are being interpreted through the lens of different fan cultures. For example, the K-Pop fandom is known for its emphasis on intra-group friendships, so it is unsurprising that Malik's comment about getting "sick of each other" elicited a strong reaction from some fans.

Another interesting point is the discussion of reality and narrative. This can be a powerful tool for building community and expressing identity, but it can also lead to the creation of echo chambers and the spread of misinformation.
